Six Restaurants that prove vegan food is fabulous all-year round

There might be an assumption that veganuary is drawing to a close, but living in London offers you a fantastic opportunity to feast on delicious vegan food during the rest of the year.

One can find anything from comfort food classics like burgers and pizza to more upscale treats for a special night out. We’ve come up with a list of a few city’s incredible vegan restaurants. Why not give some of them a try and eat delicious meals while doing something great for the animals and the environment?

Temple of Seitan // Camden, Hackney
Whether you’re craving a cheeseburger, Buffalo wings or a snack pack of Popcorn Bites and fries, Temple of Seitan has got you covered. While they do specialise in vegan fried “chicken”, they also do amazing specials like the Brekky Burger and make their own tasty sauces (ranch, anyone?)

By Chloe // Covent Garden, Tower Bridge
Originally from the US, By Chloe specialises in tasty burgers, hearty salads and sweet treats. Their Mac and Cheese with shiitake bacon is absolutely heavenly (extra bacon is a must!), as are their pesto meatball sub and the infamous raspberry tiramisu cupcakes.

The Blacksmith & The Toffeemaker // Angel
How could we not give a shout-out to our favourite pub right around the corner from City University? Besides their entirely vegan menu, we also love that they focus on sustainability and minimising food waste. We highly recommend the polenta fries and the chorizo, jalapeño and refried bean grilled cheese.

Purezza // Camden
Pizza is always a winner. Always. If you want something extraordinary that is going to satisfy your deepest pizza cravings, Purezza is the place be. Their sourdough pizzas feature the perfect char as well as homemade vegan mozzarella made from brown rice milk and a variety of amazing toppings. Tiramisu for dessert? Yes, please!

Mildreds // Soho, Camden, King’s Cross, Dalston
Serving colourful, international food in London since 1988, Mildreds has become somewhat of a hotspot when it comes to next level vegan food. There’s something for everyone with items on the menu like Tandoori chick’n, Green falafel, or their Mexican black bean burger.

Tibits // Piccadilly Circus, Bankside
The buffet-style restaurant originated in Switzerland and made its way to London in order to spread their love for fresh and delicious food. Some of their classics include the vegan tartar and their homemade samosas, but they also feature luscious seasonal dishes.
