As you take a stroll through Lower Marsh Market – a hotspot of diverse culinary choices – you come across this creative hub. This is the perfect space to meet up with friends, grab a coffee or some food, get some work done, appreciate local art, and more. Not only is this place a cafe, but it even becomes a lively bar in the evenings with its ‘coffee by day, cocktails by night’ memo. Featuring evenings of comedy, theater, music, spoken word, and other events, it’s the place to be if you’re looking to be inspired — or involved — in an inclusive atmosphere.

This cozy cafe is nestled in the heart of Islington. Like The Glitch, it doubles as a cafe and bar. As you walk through the doors, you feel the immediate welcoming ambiance. Downstairs, the cafe offers a variety of food and drinks. Hidden upstairs, students have free access to the co-working space – an ideal environment to brainstorm ideas in a group or study on your own. It gives off a homely feel, with sofas to chill out, a dart-board, and even a book-exchange. Featuring free-wifi, power outlets, study areas, quality food and beverages, and a variety of seating options – this is the ultimate destination for students seeking a productive yet relaxed atmosphere. Even more, they host events, so make sure to not to miss out. Keep an eye on this emerging creative corner on Goswell road.

You can find this little oasis just steps from City University. Amidst the hustle and bustle of city life, this cafe welcomes you with its abundance of greenery, and an aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Its name derives from the fact that it sells both coffee and plants. Operating as a family-run business, it has a very inviting atmosphere, acting as a cozy sanctuary in comparison with the busy streets outside. Through regularly hosting pop-ups, the cafe hopes to engage directly with local businesses — building a sense of community for those in the borough of Islington.
